Dear Visitors,

Our aim in creating this website has been threefold:-  firstly, to publicize information about our beautiful little church:- times of worship, social events, it's history and architecture; secondly, to share with you our enjoyment of the area in which it is set; and thirdly, to provide you with some thoughtful reading for the quieter moments in your life.  Although stemming from the rhythm of the church's year, these articles could well speak meaningfully to you at any time.

Above all, we hope you don't just rush through our lovingly-created pages, but enjoy spending some time with us.

Jean and Pauline

Coronavirus Covid-19 Update

We are pleased that ‘The Powers That Be’ have amended the Covid-19 Regulations enabling Clippesby Church to reopen for private prayer. However the guidelines for us to follow are still very strict so, for the present, we will be opening St. Peter’s only on Wednesdays from 10am. to 6pm.

NO facilities will be available.

The Church will be cleaned thoroughly between each opening.

Visitors must observe these precautions for everyone’s safety:

Maintain social distancing.   Use the hand sanitiser provided on entering and on leaving.  Avoid touching surfaces.

You may like to use a Book of Common Worship as an aid to prayer (we have put copies on the table by the door)

if so LEAVE THE BOOK BY YOUR SEAT when you depart and it will be made safe for re-use.

We will light the Easter candle in the Chancel as a focus for you but for safety the Chancel and the Tower will be roped off.

People of Clippesby have prayed and worshipped in St. Peter’s for a thousand years and it is our earnest hope that all who come here now  will themselves find God’s blessing in this hallowed and peaceful place.
